In the heart of the University campus is a hidden gem – the Tropical Grove, a popular wedding ceremony venue. Nestling within the lush greenery of the Great Court is a shady spot surrounded by towering palms, gums and more exotic residents: the Ginko Biloba, one of the oldest known plant species dating back 270 million years, and the Honeymoon Tree, planted by UWA’s first gardener when he brought it back from South Australia whilst on his honeymoon!
